Running out of things to post? Here are 5 simple content ideas any small business can use to keep their Instagram active and engaging no big budget or production team needed.
1. Behind-the-scenes clips
People trust what they can see being made. A 15-second clip of you prepping an order, setting up a space, or packaging a product does more for trust than a polished ad ever will.
2. “Before you buy” posts
Answer the question your customer is already asking themselves. What’s it made of? How long does it last? Who is it for? Turn that into a short caption or a 3-slide carousel.
3. Customer questions, answered on camera
Take the three questions you get asked most in DMs and answer each one in a short video. It’s content you don’t have to invent it already exists in your inbox.
4. A simple “day in the business” story
Not a highlight reel a real one. What a Tuesday actually looks like. This builds familiarity faster than any polished post.
5. One clear call-to-action post per week
Mixed in with everything else, one post a week should say plainly what you want someone to do next message you, visit the site, book a call.
None of this requires a big production. It requires consistency, and a clear sense of who you’re talking to. That’s usually the part I help with first.
